The fourth day of the PPL Special Edition concluded last night, headlined by the 40 LAC GTD Highroller Event. All 4 events beat their respective guaranteed prizepools. Here are the highlights:

Event 13: This 1 LAC GTD event kick started Day 4, and saw 176 registrations. “kianmnatnihc” won himself 33,200 for a first place finish, followed by “rebetshove”. The total prizepool of this event was 166,000.

Event 14: The second event of the day was the 2 LAC GTD 6-max RA tournament. It was once again “Intruder” who found himself at the top of the pack, ousting a field of 177 entrants and winning 56,500 for the first place. This records his second win of the series. Runner up of this event was “ketchup”.

Event 15: The much awaited NLHE Highroller Event guaranteed a whopping prizepool of 40 LAC, and saw an incredible 162 entries, pushing the total prizepool to 54 LAC! This 6-max Super Deepstack event took nearly 10 hours to conclude, and witnessed some of the biggest names in the country battling it out for the title, bragging rights and a cool 10,93,500 in prize money. In the end, “00megadraw” was crowned champion of the PPL Special Edition Highroller Event. Second place was taken by “Smoothie12” along with 8,23,500 in prize money.

Event 16: Wrapping up the events for the evening, this 1 LAC GTD Freezeout tournament saw Faiz ”AilaGaya” Alam defeat “ISquirtBullets” in a heads-up battle to win his first title of the series along with 24,219 in prize money.

The third day of the PPL Special Edition concluded last night with Events 9, 10, 11 and 12 all crossing their respective Guaranteed Prize Pools. Day 3 saw 795 unique entries and was highlighted by the 10 LAC GTD Deepstack Turbo. Here are the results in brief:

Event 9: The day kicked off with the 1.5 LAC GTD RA event. It attracted 192 unique entries, and first place was taken by “lalchi14”, along with 38,040 in prize money. The runner up of the event was “monster”.

Event 10: This exciting PLO Freezeout event offered a guaranteed prizepool of 1 LAC and attracted 147 players. “Shrey94” dominated the final few tables and finally took the top spot along with 23,153 for his efforts. “abhi2129” finished in second place.

Event 11: The main event of Day 3, this 10 LAC GTD Deepstack Freezeout event had 245 entrants, increasing the prizepool to over 12L. After 8 hours and an extremely tough Final Table line-up, it was “spiboy314” who came out on top and won a cool 235,813 in prize money. “Spady” finished runner up and received 174,563 for his efforts.

Event 12: Day 3 wrapped up with the 2 LAC GTD 6-max Turbo RA event. 211 players meant yet another guarantee-crushing pool and a top prize of 50,700. “griezmann” was the winner of this event, followed by “amitag” in second place.

Day 2 of the PokerBaazi Premier League Special Edition saw a total of 907 entrants taking part in 4 events held through the course of the evening. Let’s take a look at the highlights:

Event 5: This 1.5 LAC GTD tournament pulled 237 entries, taking the total prizepool up to 2.09 LAC. First place, along with a prize of Rs 40,233 was won by “Laconic”, with Anirban “pottysingh” Das finishing runner up.

Event 6: This RA event with a GTD Prizepool of 1 LAC saw Amar “kidpoker0109” Mehta oust a field of 202 players for the top spot and a prize of Rs 25,467 for his efforts. The runner up of this event was “Shankarnarayan”.

Event 7: The Main event of Day 2, this 10 LAC GTD 6-max Deepstack event attracted a whopping 269 entrants resulting in the Prizepool shooting up to 18 LAC! It was eventually “Intruder” who finished at the top of the pack, winning a cool Rs 342,000 in Prize money followed by Sam “thereallokimon” Anand in second place. The Final Table also included tournament regulars Neeraj “Selfclaimedpro” Kumar and PokerBaazi Team PRO Abhishek Panda, who finished 5th and 6th respectively.

Event 8: The final event of the day was the 2 LAC GTD Turbo. 199 players registered for this event which now had a total prizepool of over 3 LAC. The event was won by Akshay “sherlock52” Nasa, a young poker player who has made quite a name for himself in recent times. Akshay received Rs 61,600 in prize money and now finds himself at the top of the Leaderboard. The runner up of the event was “amit_3103”.
