The fourth edition of our beloved MoneyMaker also ended with flying colours at dawn, yesterday. The felt saw active participation of players from all around India and needless to say that this initiative by was a grand success like the other times. is very proud to announce the winner of The MoneyMaker 4 - Mr Guruprasad Gupta. He bagged the coveted winner's bracelet and prize money of 30 LAC

The tournament had an initial buy-in of INR 11000. There were two different procedures to register one's participation. One could either deposit INR 30,000 by punching in the deposit code or play the satellites by investing as low as INR 22, win it and secure a ticket. This time the felt was 659 players strong and 497 players availed the re-buy benefit. The felt was exciting as usual and many notable Indian poker players graced the tournament with their game like  Madhur Khosla-4th Position, Zarvan Tumboli-10th Position, Pranay Kapoor-12th Position and Nishaanth Shanmughasundaram-15th Position.
Guruprasad Gupta is one of the most celebrated Baazigars. His performance on has always been spectacular, In early 2017, he won the PPL Special Edition Package in PPL RUSH.  After that, the 2017 Dhanteras season again brought Laxmi to his doorstep when he secured the 8th position in the HI Leaderboard of the Diwali Cash League. 2018 also didn't let him down. On March 4, 2018, he took down The Marvelous March Daily Leaderboard. This is all about his major wins. Apart from that, he has won huge bonus for Royal flush six times. All these achievements are proof of his mammoth poker skills and extraordinary grip over the game.
According to the champion, the final table brought along a number of memorable hands. Mr Gupta steered through the felt, towards victory by busting 7 players one by one. He had 2-1 chip lead over the others. Just prior to the final hand, MR. Gupta's ace kings got defeated at the hands of Sheetal Agarwal's pocket fives. Though the Champion was a bit nervous at that moment because the particular hand brought both the heads-up finalists at par but a competent player never looses his hope. In the last hand of the heads-up battle, Mr Gupta was dealt with ace-eight of hearts and  Agarwal was dealt with pocket tens. Both of them went all in. The flop hinted at Gupta's win with a heart's flush but the turn paired up. But Destiny in co-ordination with skills is the winner always, the river round was on Gupta's side.  Subsequently, a brick on the river confirmed his win The river round declared Gupta as the champion and Sheetal Agarwal had to settle for the position of the first runner-up.

Day 6: PPL Spring’18

Day 6 of the PokerBaazi Premier League concluded yesterday, leaving today- the Final day - to settle any pending scores. Here are the updated-s from yesterday’s action:

Event 31: 2L GTD Deepstack Turbo

The Day kicked off with Event 21 – A 2LAC guaranteed Deepstack Turbo Event. 136 entrant took part in the event utilizing an additional 136 re-entries. ‘bml2012’ was the last man standing after defeating ‘gangajal’ heads up for the win and a score of INR 42,840.

Event 32: 1L GTD R+A

Next up was the 1LAC guaranteed Rebuy/Add-on event. It attracted 118 entries along with 140 rebuys, and it was eventually ‘Ykm1994’ who came out on top of the field, defeating ‘griezmann’ heads up for a payday of INR 22,000.

Event 33: 3L GTD RE

A 3LAC guaranteed Re-entry event, Event 33 roped in a field of 98 along with 96 re-entries. Heads up play saw ‘DADDY101’ defeat ‘MrRobot’ for the win and a payday of INR 72,000.

Event 34: 5L GTD Megastack FO

This 5LAC guaranteed Megastack Freezeout event was the next in line, and attracted 153 entries. ‘tani07’ came out on top of the field, defeating ‘callmenow’ in the heads up battle and earning himself a payday of INR 1,01,250.

Event 35: 15L GTD ME Warm-Up

The featured event of the day was the 15LAC guaranteed Main Event Warm-Up. The event roped in 148 entrants along with 111 Re-entries. Exactly 7 hours later, it was ‘murderer90’ and ‘sunit’ that were left in the event, with ‘murderer90’ eventually taking down the event for a hefty payday of INR 3,15,000.

Event 36: 2L GTD 6-max Turbo R+A

The last event of the day was a 2LAC guaranteed 6-max Turbo Rebuy/Add-on event. 108 players took part in the event, utilizing an additional 191 rebuys. Heads up saw ‘TiltDaddy’ and ‘Zedd’ battling it out, with the former eventually emerging victorious scoring INR 53,856.

Day 7- the final day of PPL Spring’18 Edition kicks off today at 2pm. Headlining the day is the much awaited featured event of the Series- a 1CRORE guaranteed Main Event, scheduled for 4:00pm.

PPL Spring’18: Day 4

The PokerBaazi Premier League Spring’18 Edition has crossed the half-way mark with the completion of Day 4 last night. Here are the updates from yesterday’s Events:

Event 19: 1.5L R+A

Day 4 kicked off with 1.5LAC guaranteed Rebuy/Add-on Event which attracted 117 entrants. Coming out on top of the field was ‘Hsupta’, who defeated ‘kngs’ heads up and took home INR 33,000 for his efforts.

Event 20: 3L Deepstack Turbo RE

The second event of the Day was the 3LAC guaranteed Deepstack Turbo event, which roped in 135 players. Heads up play saw ‘Killersam’ and ‘mafiamessi’ battling it out, and it was eventually ‘Killersam’ who came out on top scoring INR 63,000 for his win.

Event 21: 2L 6-max R+A

Event 21 was a 2LAC guaranteed 6-max Rebuy/Add-on event, and attracted a field of 111, utilizing a total of 241 rebuys. ‘ChubbyGhost’ continues to enjoy a successful PPL with a victory in this event, defeating ‘fish_calling’ heads up for a payday of INR 48,000.

Event 22: The BIG 5 Deepstack RE

Next up was a 5LAC guaranteed Deepstack event. It roped in 140 entries (and 105 re-entries) and saw one of the most exciting Final Tables. Young poker pros Nishant Sharma, Akshay Nasa and Manoj Pentakota were the last three players left in the event. It was eventually Nishant ‘nishant177’ Sharma who defeated Akshay ‘sherlock52’ Nasa heads up for the win and a prize amount of INR 1,05,000.

Event 23: The SUMMIT 30L Deepstack

This 30LAC guaranteed Deepstack event was the featured event of the day. INR 11,000 gave you a shot at the mammoth INR 5.9LAC top prize, and it was ‘Sara24’ who came out on top of the field of 219. Heads up play saw ‘Sara24’ defeat ‘praf11’ for the win. ‘MrRobot’, who is having a great PPL so far finished 3rd in the event, while PokerBaazi Team PRO Abhishek Panda finished 4th.

Event 24: PLO Highroller 25L (5RE)

The final event of the day was the much awaited PLO Highroller, with a guaranteed Prize pool of INR 25LAC. 125 players took part in the event, utilizing an additional 86 re-entries. It took nearly 7.5 hours to crown our winner – ‘sp175’, who defeated ‘callmenow’ heads up and took home a sweet INR 5.5LAC for his efforts. Second place was rewarded INR 4.1LAC.

First Event

The first event commenced at 7 PM for 45K GTD [R+A] NO LIMIT Texas Hold’em. The event attracted 109 players and created a prize pool worth Rs 115500. Jimmy Arora ‘jeeven’ seized the lead with a cash prize of Rs 27720 making it two wins in two days , ‘Yogiraj’ grabbed the second spot and earned Rs 19635 trailed by ‘PlayEasy565’ at Rs 13860.

Second Event

The second bout started at 9 PM for 50K GTD [FreezeOut] Pot limit omaha poker. 105 players contested in it bringing a prize pool of Rs 105000. ‘rachubaba’ claimed the first position and earned Rs 25200, phil_ivey took the second spot by winning 17850 and ‘himanshu.zak’ took the third position by winning Rs 12600. The competition was delicately composed, but soon the tables turned with an instigation of the main event.

Main event

The main table voyage began at 10 PM for 5 LAC GTD [FreezeOut] NO LIMIT Texas Hold’em.  The main event drew 156 players creating a prize pool worth Rs 780000. The battle lasted for nearly 6 hours. Sridhar Ramineni ‘PlayEasy565’ came out the best to earn a cash prize of Rs 157950, ‘Perfecto’ took the second spot by winning Rs 118950, ‘Hades’ earned a prize money of Rs 89700 for the third place and ‘Amit030’ took the fourth place by winning Rs 66300.

Fourth event

Action approached the fourth combat for 60K GTD [6MAX] [R+A] NO LIMIT Texas Hold’em at 11.30 PM and attracted 114 players. They built up a prize pool worth Rs 144000. ‘sai120293’ paced to the top position by winning Rs 34560, ‘Vinstill’ captured the second spot by winning Rs 24480 and ‘pottysingh’ took the third spot by winning Rs 17280.

On the Leaderboard standings after Day2, ‘PlayEasy565’’ took the top spot with 934 points, ‘jeeven’ conquered the second position with 829 points and ‘zimmyyash’ got on to the third rank with 771 points.
