POY Weekly Update: April 21 – 28
April 2025 is going down in Indian Poker history as an absolute inferno of talent, drama, and leaderboard shakeups. We witnessed the first-ever National Poker Champion (NPC) live in Goa, and it was pandemonium till the last chip. Outlasting 12 heavy-hitters in a finale for the ages, Gujarat’s Mohit Bohra walked away with the 1 CR crown and bragging rights for life.
But hold up—because just as the dust settles, the storm is only getting bigger.
India’s most legendary tournament, The MoneyMaker, is back—and for the second time, it’s on a “MARATHON MODE!”. The MoneyMaker will run daily for 31 days straight through May, each day, rewarding 1 CR in prizes and a bracelet to the winner.
But the man of the moment at the 2025 Player of the Year (POY) Leaderboard race? Bengaluru’s Poker phenom Advait Rajguru!
The young coach, mentor, and stone-cold crusher is on an unbelievable run, and set to ride his lead into May. Sitting comfortably at Rank #1 with 999 points, Rajguru put on another trailblazer this week—15 tourneys, 11 cashes, 2 final tables, and yet another BSS SuperStack title to his name!
With 9.04 LAC added to his bankroll and 93.52 LAC in annual earnings, Rajguru is not slowing down—he’s amping up the momentum!

Currently sitting at POY Rank 2 with 997 points, Nilange may not have shipped the week’s biggest tourney—but he owned the volume game, topping both the ITM and FT finish charts, earning 3.78 LAC this week.
His week’s highlight:

The win didn’t just boost his bankroll—it launched him 125 spots up the POY 2025 leaderboard, in one of the week’s most dramatic climbs!
