Fun Fact: The computerized version of Freecell dates back its invention decades back precisely to the year 1978 and was invented by a medical student named Paul Alfille in the PLATO computer when studying at the University of Illinois. Originally modded from the Baker’s Game, Paul altered the structure of this game by alternating the colours of the builds, thus, creating Freecell.

Although, the popularity of the game literally spiked when Microsoft released the game in every operating system of Windows in the year 1995 and since, then the game has stayed with us.
